The last 2 years I did this in my personal journal (2014 & 2013). This year, because I am doing it early enough and it is for graphics, I suppose it really belongs here.
icon_talk is compiling 2015 progression posts here for reference~

I started off doing a lot more 20in20s this year. My animanga collection is dwindling to specific communities instead of generals all over the place. J A N U A R Y |

I played with a lot of coloring and texture use this month, especially compared to my normal styles. Iconing in general was hard this year between family and health. I wondered how much I'd really be able to do. M A R C H |

My iconing has dropped dramatically this summer as I had a new baby due in July. Still trying to branch out with my colors and textures more for the few challenges I am able to do on time. J U N E |

Starting to get back into the swing of things. Tried to use more textures and even some text with appropriate challenges. Not something I use often or like to use myself, so I tend to forget about it unless it's specifically called for. O C T O B E R |

This was probably my most productive month out of the year. There were a lot of special challenges going on that I didn't want to miss, and some new contests I was just joining that offered some themes I knew I needed to work on (like typography). N O V E M B E R |

The end of the year. Not as productive as I had hoped to be; the kids really took over with the holidays and my online time in general was close to none. Still, I managed a decent small turnout for the holidays. Still trying to do more texture work with my icons. Don't think I'll ever be fond of too much texturing, but I'm getting more comfortable with more without overpowering the image I want to use. D E C E M B E R |

Date: 2016-01-02 09:41 pm (UTC)I think the fact that you're pushing yourself, even in areas that you're uncomfortable with, is one of the reasons you've improved so much in just one year! Amd I personally love your use of textures over the last few months, and I think your coloring techniques have also shown a lot of improvement as well <3
