Live and Learn

So last year I stopped actively following pretty much all the communities I didn't have an active part in, thinking I'd just browse others that caught my interest when I had the time so my f-list wouldn't be overwhelmed by these entries and make it harder for me to keep up with actual friends. This especially was of interest to me with reduced time to read or browse things knowing that my baby girl would be taking over our lives that summer.

As a result of this and a belief that I would never end up in a community like iconpraise (lets face it, I'm a small time maker that is not out there a lot and does not do a lot with textures as personally I find most of them glaring and offensive to the eyes). Imagine my shock then when I'm browsing through the entries, especially interested in the animanga references, and I find 3 of my icons mentioned. *O* *flails*

I'm way late to join the party on these, but still at least wanted to mention having finally seen them and a huge THANK YOU to adrastea & eotheod for picking some of my icons in their posts here & here!

[edit] I originally locked this community in response to the LJ fandom strikethrough and content deletion. For a long time after that it just didn't seem worth the effort to go back and unlock everything, so I left it as open membership with community posts. LJ seems to have stopped panicking over fandom issues though and most people seem to prefer unlocked graphic comms nowadays, so I've finally taken the time to unlock everything. Enjoy!

Why do I request credit for the things I make? Partially because I take the time to make them, but mostly because I want other people to be able to find my work too. To me, credit is just a nice way to acknowledge the maker and send other people their way. Helps spread the word, 'ya know? So how do you credit? It's actually really easy.
